Gerry & Lynn,

YES, a plethora of Christmas cards are being signed! St. Peter's the Rock finsihed 84 yesterday, I'll bring another 84 to Co-op today, and the rest I'll get from my children's CCD classes Sunday for a grand total of 200+!!

I'm also in for two casseroles on the 4th Friday - I can do three, if need be.

Lynn, see ya at co-op.... I'm ALL about cancelling the 20th if we're not stuffing bags for Gerry.

Cheers!

Brynne

Hi Gerry,

Yes, we will have the socks for you. I’ll actually be getting most if not all of them tomorrow (12/13) when our group meets in the morning. We’ll also be doing some Christmas cards. I believe Brynne is arranging to get some done by other groups too.

I see from your other email that you plan to stuff the bags this coming weekend. Will you need help with stuffing next Wed. morning too? Our homeschool group can help out next Wed. if you need help then. I would need to know ASAP though as we are considering not meeting on the 20th. (We would go ahead and meet however, if you’d like help stuffing bags.)

I can bring 3 casseroles instead of 2.

Thanks!

Lynn

Subject: Still purchasing items, so no elfs needed to put goodie bags together tomorrow

Looking at Weds--maybe even Friday am.

Still getting money and purchasing more items. Just ordered 200 sweatshirts/ combs/ lip balm. I think there is still more we can do. Basically, this is a grassroots campaign which sprung from a once a month casserole drive at church to feed the homeless. This email list and thus word spread from that list is the advertising. So, basically this email list will be able to feed I am sure over 200 homeless men and each will receive a goodie bag of a sweatshirt/ winter hat/ gloves/ scarves/ ear muffs/ candy/ gum/ breakfast bar/ nuts/ razor/ toothbrush/ comb/ etc.

So, goodie bag looking good. A lot of stuff to pack into 200 bags or so.

OK, dinner on Friday night also looking good: right now we have a salad course/ I think we are up to some 20 casseroles--so figure how many do each feed--some 10?/ Desserts/ drinks: soda/ water/ juice/ coffee--not sure how we can heat, etc.

Our Lady of the Fields kitchen will cook some 24 casseroles.

So, still collecting money/ casseroles/ desserts/ drinks.

Also, still need help on Friday

THANKS

Gerry

I am gearing up to be able to feed at least 200 men next week. I am also planning to have 200 goodie bags with collected items. I plan to have a salad course/ casserole/ and dessert. I also have drinks--not sure about coffee machine. I worked out with a restaurant to provide to-go boxes with a nice sandwhich and chips for each of the 200 as well.

So should be plenty of food and gifts

More people stepping up to the plate.......

Just ordered 200 sweatshirts/ 1000 combs/ 100 lip balm. Our Lady of the Fields co-op just brought over some 200 pairs of socks, etc.

Also, on top of all the food we have for over 200 plus gift bags filled with much needed items--we will be able to give each as they leave a to-go box with a great sandwich and chips from Beef 'O' Brady Restaurant (valued at over $1200). The to-go box alone is meal in itself.

Still collecting: money/ items for goodie bags: winter items, toiletries, candy, etc/ casseroles/ Desserts/ Drinks

THANKS and continue to keep Christ in Christmas!

Ok--looking real good for Friday

Still need about $150

Also, drinks and desserts

Casseroles looking good--just limited on how many I can cook/ transport.

Not packing goodie bags until Thurs --maybe Friday am since I have to wait until all my orders come in--so could still use winter clothes items/ toiletries/ etc.

May need coolers for casseroles and drinks. Not sure on how many transporters/ servers I have but we have a bunch of stuff to transport. Looks like we will serve buffet style.

Thanks
Gerry
