Update:

I have a painter coming by tomorrow for an estimate. Powerwashed deck--no idea so dirty and ready to paint.

We recd new range yesterday. DW came as well but two things: wont fit since they installed current one and installed tile--thick--per Home Depot guy and second or main thing--he wouldn't install since he said they installed current dw and secured to granite--he didn't want to remove since he said it would crack?

Grass coming in nicely--still fighting bare spots and weeds

Bought some flowers today at Home Depot.

Still considering moving now rather than next year

We will keep in touch

Thanks

Got the platinum paint at Home Depot and white paint for deck this am.

Painter thought two shade darker in platinum for under the chair rail

He thought and home depot agreed to wait until walls done to see about paint molding?

They should be painted this weekend.

My painter said to paint deck would be $450 and living room/ dining room $600

Seems about right to you?

Thanks

The Home Depot guy said they sell side attaching panels or some kit so you attach dw to side and not granite

I asked someone else and he said they are not supposed to install to the granite and sometimes he said he used liquid nail.

Both left enough of a question about even removing the screws from the granite to put that on back burner right now

I am not sure how we move to rent for a year

So thinking we cant move until next year--unless you show me something different

Two weeks ago you told me how great it would be for you/ us if you stuck with federal govt?

Kitchen stuff--expensive but cant do half and half plus we get to use it for maybe a year

deck needs it regardless

inside paint?

What else

Gerry,
Yes, I think the 2 shades darker sounds like a good idea for under the chair rail. As far a waiting on the trim, if it looks OK, then great. I think the $600 for the inside sounds good, we just had to get an office painted here (12X13) and it was $400 with a drop ceiling. Also the deck price seems good.

About the dishwasher--wow. I don't know that much about granite, but I had not heard that before about it cracking. What happens when a dishwasher breaks, I cant imagine every Luxury house with granite counters just gets new counters everytime the appliance breaks. And the tile floor went in after the DW also. Well, it sounds like you don' have any option, unless there was some idea the appliance guy had. Let me know. As far as selling now instead of later, market is still doing well now. Really up to you guys, my best guess is that will also be good next Spring...but who knows. Tara and I can come back over when painting etc is done and take a 5 minute tour if that would help.
Talk to you soon,
Aidan
