Subject: Big win 18-17 on Sunday
2-0 early on this basketball season. Surely an improvement in performance from week prior.
We missed Sebastian and Brian--but very good team effort in another come from behind victory--without some assistance on some calls down the stretch from the refs.
A win is a win.
Saturday practice again at noon at CES and game on Sunday at 2p at CMS
I know we will be missing daniel this Sunday.
See you this weekend

Agreed, the boys will take the win. It wasn't that the refs were bad, because usually this means they are bad to both teams, averaging out thier poor performance. There were many instances where our boys fouled the other team when they were not shooting, or in a bonus situation. This team was then incorrectly given free throws. On the other side, there were at least two shooting fouls near the end of the game on our team that should have given us foul shots, but they were not to be. Luckily for our boys it all worked out.
Personally, I thought the other coach was ref'ing the game for his boys. Sitting with other parents, I can say I was not alone in this assessment. The coaches should not be allowed to do this, and something should be said to them all, but him in particular. It was obvious that the refs were intimidated.

Yes, coach, it was a great win for the boys/team. The single ref the previous week did a far superior job than the two refs this last game.

He continued the whole game running his mouth even over the smallest detail.
I recall him doing the same last year--id think making it not fun
Which i guess makes it a little nicer to come out with a win.
