Jeff, this was not our first date but severial good ones before this great one.Our first date was in my brand new fORD CONVERTABLE and went to very Prestiges Princeton Univercity for a paid tennis match with all those rich kids.Afterwards dinned at The Nassau Club[which is and was the place to be]Afterwards Marcy purchased a bottle of Moet Champaine for me and hoped that I would get a job since I was inbetwween occupations at the time but still putting up a good front. There you have the first date.Sometime we didn't have money but a brand new car and just took drives.once all the way to Ocean City,N.J..Ate a hot dog on the beach. On the way home I didn.t have enough money for the bridge toll so I ran the tool booth. We were so bad.Lots & lots of passionate times.FYI.

Loved the story also. Made me tear up. Tom and I met at a bar in Margate, bowling alley attached. How romantic is that.

Did we all meet in a bar? !!!!! Jack and I met at Tony Marts in Somers Point Sunday afternoon after the beach at 14th street cleared out. Beers were 10 for $1.00, and he bought me one. One beer, not ten!!!!!! First date movies and hamburgers at Charlies Hamburger stand. Very romantic

Sounds sooo familar.Charlies in Springfield was the place to go and be seen.just like present McD's.Our kids can't imagine 10 beers for buck. They must have purchased the glasses by the thousands.I road around in our cheap gas at $.25.

Jack just reminded me that at Happy Hour, when everyone arrived from the beach at Tony Marts, it was 12 beers for a buck!!!!! Wow - can you top this - 8 cents a beer - the good old days!

Aileen and I met on 14th street beach in Ocean City. As neither of us were of the legal age we did our first drinking together over a malt at Bob's. Then we went next door to the College Grill for some free pickles while we split a hot dog.
Incidentally I believe Pat Brown met Dan at Steeles (for what its worth). And I thought I knew musicals but "She Loves Me" escapes me. When I hear those lyrics I think of Sid Caesar singing " She loves me(as much as she is able) considering thats she's riff-raff and I am well-to-do. That was from "Little Me".Why do I remember stupid stuff like that??
Florida plans and the character breakfast sound great. Ginny- Going to call for the Magical Experience today. Brochure says call at least 10 days before. Just thought I would let you know.
Kind of cold , damp and drizzly today in Chicago with a windy afternoon on tap. Hope the major storm down South misses Nashville.Cheers dears !! Aileen and Bill
