Subject: Great Season finishing 10-0

Good time to stop and smell the roses.

We are done with the county season with a 10-0 record. We are the champs of the Navy division.

I will find out tonight if we are playing in a C or a B division tournament and I guess times we are playing but assuming we start play on Saturday.

Our practice times are the same this week: Tues and Friday.

All players have paid for the tournament--so same 10 will continue.

Thanks to all who have assisted me this season in keeping score/ helping out with practice and games.

See you this week
Gerry

No Meat Fridays

Just retn from my Wendy's fish sandwhich--since I liked they advertized in the Baltimore Catholic Standard. Still hard to go to burger joint with everyone eating burgers to eat fish.

Sandwhich was OK--supposed to be a premium Cod Fish sandwhich--probably good for you or better than a burger

DVDs in your Netflix Queue

001- The Wire: Season 1: Disc 1

This disc includes the following episodes: "The Target," "The Detail" and "The Buys." Extras include audio commentary, episode reviews and previews.
002- Elizabeth: The Golden Age

Reprising her Oscar-nominated role from 1998's Elizabeth, Cate Blanchett is once again at the head of the cast as the Virgin Queen (earning her another Oscar nod) in this Shekhar Kapur-directed sequel to that film. Focusing on the queen's tempestuous relationship with the adventurer Sir Walter Raleigh, the film also stars Clive Owen (as Raleigh), Geoffrey Rush (as Sir Francis Walsingham) and Samantha Morton (as Mary, Queen of Scots).
003- 2 Days in Paris

Returning from a disastrous "romantic" trip to Venice, Marion (Julie Delpy) and Jack (Adam Goldberg) stop in Paris for two days to visit Marion's parents. But Marion's Parisian ex-lovers, her overbearing parents and culture shock all conspire to make American-born Jack feel even more estranged from Marion in this quirky comedy. Delpy, who also directed, received an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best First Feature.
004- Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Returning for his fifth year of study at the venerable Hogwarts, youthful wizard Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) is stunned to find that that his warnings about the return of the evil Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) have been ignored. Left with no choice, Harry takes matters into his own hands, training a small group of students -- dubbed "Dumbledore's Army" (after the school's headmaster) -- to defend themselves against the dark arts.
005- Office Space

In a film that takes plenty of jabs at the nihilism of corporate life, Ron Livingston plays office drone Peter Gibbons, who conspires with his cubicle cohorts to embezzle money from their soulless employers. With help and hindrance from those around him -- including the eminently quotable workplace nerd Milton Waddams (Stephen Root) -- and the affection of waitress Joanna (Jennifer Aniston), Gibbons may just find his sanity … and his revenge.
006- Andre Rieu: The Homecoming

Dutch violinist and band leader Andre Rieu performs live in his Netherlands hometown of Maastricht in this outdoor midsummer concert filmed in the breathtaking Vrijthof Square. Featuring lively guest singers the Platinum Tenors, this special concert glows with an extraordinary light show as Rieu treats his appreciative audience to some of his most beloved works, including "Toselli Serenade," "Ode to Maastricht" and "Aviator's March."
007- Saint Ralph

Ralph (Adam Butcher) is a typical teenager with atypical questions, the largest of which concerns his mother. She's fallen into a coma, and the 14-year-old has set his sights on winning the 1954 Boston Marathon in a makeshift barter with God to make his mother well. His teacher, Father Hibbert (Campbell Scott), wants to encourage his dream, but in doing so, he goes up against the reserved, ever-realistic Father Fitzpatrick (Gordon Pinsent).
008- Michael Flatley: Gold

Combining dynamic footage from "Lord of the Dance" and "Feet of Flames" performances, this production also includes five new dances and fresh versions of the classics filmed in Budapest, Hungary, where Michael Flatley thrilled an audience of more than 100,000 people. During an intimate interview, the magnetic Flatley discusses his phenomenal career and shares his personal photo album and rare video of his old and new dances.
009- The Heartbreak Kid

The Farrelly brothers loosely adapt the 1972 hit of the same name into this romantic comedy starring Ben Stiller as Eddie Cantrow, a newlywed who marries a dreamy woman (Malin Akerman) only to learn at the honeymoon that she's a total nightmare. As this discovery sets in, Eddie meets the real girl of his dreams (Michelle Monaghan). The charmer also stars funnymen Jerry Stiller, Carlos Mencia and Rob Corddry.
010- The Kingdom

When a deadly bombing attack targets Americans in the Middle East, a counterterrorism squad is dispatched to find the culprits. Once they arrive in the desert, the U.S. agents (an ensemble that includes Jamie Foxx as the group's leader) learn that in these parts, they are the true enemy. With their investigation hampered by local bureaucracy, the team realizes they may be the terrorists' next target. Jennifer Garner and Jason Bateman also star.
